MEDIA CAMPAIGN unit 6

Media campaign from AnthonyMartin152

when i was doing my primary research i wanted to find 3 platforms, a trailer, website and a poster. the trailer created the initial buzz about the film which was the films main point of advertising, the trailer was released first. The next platform i looked at which was the second point of advertisment that was released second was a poster, the poster gave information about the main characters actor which is Sandra Bullock, the reason i think Netflix put her name on the front is not only she is a very popular actor but from her name we can she what time of genre she focuses on. i did more research into her and found out from IMDB that she has over 50 acting credits to her name. The third and final point of advertisment that i researched was a website. i then came to relise that the film doesnt have a website or social media page which is unusual in this case as Netflix usually has social media pages pumping out information to the target audience to get them hyped up about their new release.

The information i found out is beneficial to the audience because all the platforms form a cohesion which means that all these platforms tell the same story and give out the same information. Birdboxes  successs can also be attributed to Kim Kardashian West who tweeted to her at the time 59 million twitter followers about the film.

Pennywise relates to the typical steriotypical imaginations of what any person would think a monster would look like, his costume and makeup would initially show the audience that the film is going to be scary. The use of dramatic music in the film initially gives the audience visceral pleasures and the build up that something is going to happen also the lighting...
